Who are we?
The Action of Christian Mutual aid (AEC in French)
is an interdenominational cultural association. There are on our
premises Protestants, Catholics, Evangelic which have all
the same joint base: Jesus-Christ.
We have all the same goals: to announce a current
and living Gospel which transforms the lives and also to come together
to worship the God of Jesus-Christ together.
The AEC was born there about fifteen
years ago within the Christian Mission in the town of Cherbourg. The
Work still continues there this day with the vice-president as well as
a team. As a cultural association, it is primarily essentially turned
to his (her) fellow man in the only purpose to build, to encourage, to
lift up, to restore in a Christian ethics.
The AEC is one of the components of the Church, in
the same way as the Christian school, as the denominational local
church or as that Christian centers of reintegration. It is an
expression of the body of Christ, a voice which wants to speak
differently about the Church.
The Bible, God’s, which is our reference of
life, is announced through Joseph, Pastor of the
association.
We help whoever expresses the need to straighten him
in a social, psychological and spiritual balance. For this purpose,
Marie-Christine; psychotherapist, set up individual meetings,
conferences and training courses in relation of help (locally or by
correspondence).
For more than 25 years, we are a pastoral
couple which is lead by the Holy Spirit to help and lead the people
towards a complete safety.
After many years spend within traditional ministry
pastors of evangelic local churches, God led us towards another vision
of the Church. A more alive, more effective and more human vision. We
believe that the Church is more than a place where are assembled
believers, more than a room where we sit down on Sundays to listen
wisely a preaching…
The Church, it’s initially committed people
who practice their faith in their everyday life. We do not go only to
the church, we are the Church, in a living and daily practice.
(Philippians 2: 15-16)
Either a vision of the church, statics, sitting and
spectator, but a Church upright, living, marching which wants to answer
to the real needs of his generation.
